Ethiopia’s Sidama Zone, named for the ethnic group that lives there, is a paradise of low green mountains, rolling away from the massive lakes of the rift valley. We buy this coffee from farms in the vicinity of Lake Awassa, where SCFCU’s members grow it in the traditional garden style, inter-planted with fruit trees and other crops.
